This E&M Roundtable will begin with a presentation on the Medical Decision Making component of E&M to focus on how to quantify what your providers are thinking from the documentation.

The second half will be a panel discussion to determine the level of overall Medical Decision Making in examples submitted by attendees.

 A little bit about...

Kerin Draak, MS, WHNP-BC, CPC-E/M.   She received an undergraduate degree from UW-Oshkosh  and graduate level degree from UW-Madison. She began her career with Prevea in as a NP in the OB/GYN department. Since 2004, she has applied her Bilingual skills (speaking both the medical language and the complex coding language) to help the business office and coding department in development of coding policies, educational tools and education for both the provider and coding staff.

Kerin is a previous panel member at the Madison chapter E/M roundtable, E/M panel expert and speaker at the Wisconsin Medical Society (WMS) annual symposium in 2007 and upcoming 2008 symposium. She has also done outreach E/M education for the WMS in 2007. She will be speaking at the National AAPC conference in Orlando this month. WOW!
